Quirónsalud, receives first certification for anti-COVID-19 protocols

22/05/2020

AENOR has granted its first certification for Action Protocols against COVID-19 to Quirónsalud, specifically for its centres: the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital, the Infanta Elena University Hospital, the Rey Juan Carlos University Hospital and the Hospital General Villalba.

This distinctive mark, which recognises and accredits the work and commitment of the four hospitals, identifies and confirms them as spaces protected against the coronavirus pandemic, both for the staff and for the patients, aligning them with the most demanding standards. These centres become pioneers in this achievement at a national level in public healthcare.

To award this certification, AENOR has carried out an exhaustive analysis of all the protocols, procedures and measures implemented by the centres to reduce the risk to the maximum of contagion due to COVID-19 in terms of the physical environment, security measures, hygiene, social distancing techniques, organisation, monitoring of personnel and access control and physical condition of patients and relatives. This allows them to resume their healthcare activity by offering assistance to all patients who may need it, whether or not they are affected by coronavirus, in a safe context.

The AENOR certification of protocols against COVID-19 promotes confidence among all groups; A key aspect for the economic and social recovery of the effects of the coronavirus crisis. The facilities and services that are subject to AENOR's audit will have the security of applying suitable protocols and, on the other hand, will be able to demonstrate to customers, employees and the general public their commitment to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
