AENOR is a benchmark in projects for sanitary and phytosanitary measures, quality and sustainability International trade movements are regulated by international treaties on technical barriers to trade and sanitary and phytosanitary measures. The tripartite agreement formed by the WHO-FAO-Codex, the OIE and the IPPC also establishes the standards for the safe exchange of food, plants and animals.
The European Union's standards are based on these international principles. AENOR promotes them through the international projects in which it participates, disseminating good practices based on experience and practical application, supporting the development and sustainability of our business partners' systems in both the EU and other regions of the world.
From its very beginnings, AENOR has a long history of knowledge in the field of quality and safety, generating confidence in many areas. These include product conformity assessment in accordance with safety criteria, as well as all the elements necessary at country/region level to ensure systems that support and enhance productive development, by developing all technical and verification elements necessary to compete on an equal footing in the international arena (quality infrastructure).
Another thematic area in which AENOR has extensive experience is in food controls from a 'farm to table' perspective. We manage projects on various topics: from controls in primary production, and in the food production process, to the application of techniques and methodologies for sustainable use of pesticides, improving plant health controls, and the application of the 'One Health' approach to address public health, animal health and environmental issues. AENOR has been managing projects under the 'Better Training for Safer Food' initiative since its creation in 2005, having accumulated extensive experience and renown in this field.
Consumer protection is also the main element of several projects managed to combat agri-food fraud in services and products, occurring in both physical and virtual environments.
AENOR has developed a successful project management methodology based on our capacity for adaptation and innovation and the continuous improvement of all our processes to ensure the best performance and attention to our clients' needs.
