Why is risk management important?

Why is risk management important?

Financial crises such as that which broke out in 2008 and healthcare crises such as that of COVID-19 highlight the importance of creating an effective framework for managing risks in business environments. With the methods of this speciality, companies can credibly address problems of non-payment, legal non-compliance and cybersecurity threats to their information systems. Organisations are increasingly aware of the importance of having the support of trained professionals to successfully deal with unforeseen events to which they are exposed in the course of their activity and to make the most appropriate decisions at the right time.

We train risk management experts

What is risk management? What does an expert in the field do? The risk manager has become one of the most important figures in the everyday activity of public and private bodies. This manager's knowledge and experience allow him/her to identify potential problems in the company's different areas of activity, from the security of its investments, its reputation and economic viability, to the protection of the information it works with.

AENOR's risk management courses cover the main training needs of these highly qualified professionals, both from a theoretical and practical perspective. This is risk management training in the broadest sense, ranging from in-house certifications involving a general knowledge of comprehensive management and administration systems, to independent modules that provide for an in-depth understanding of specific aspects of risk management in companies UNE-ISO 31000 standard, as well as other methodologies applicable to the identification, assessment and supervision of risks in the business environment.

There are no pre-requisites to take part in any of our courses. These courses are accessible to anyone interested in furthering their career in the field of risk analysis and management, or who wants to apply the tools and methodologies learned to improve the operation of the organisation in which they work.

These courses can be taken in person, as blended leaning, or virtually through the Live Training modality. At AENOR, we have developed a training programme in which the current situation and the direct relationship between instructors and participants play a major role, which is why we foster the best educational environment in both conventional classes and in the Virtual Campus with streaming classes.
