What are the advantages of doing a course in Circular Economy?

What are the advantages of doing a course in Circular Economy?

What is the Circular Economy? This much sought-after discipline aims to ensure that the value of products, materials and resources (water, energy, etc.) is retained in the economy for as long as possible, thus minimising the generation of waste. It is currently Europe's main strategy for generating growth and employment, and is backed by the European Parliament and the European Council. This strategy includes a series of measures designed to transform the EU into a "Circular Economy" on the basis of being a recycling society in order to reduce waste production and turn waste into resources. Taking a course in Circular Economy and becoming an expert in the field is to take on one of the great challenges facing business and industrial sectors today and to gain one of the most sought-after profiles in the market.

Circular Economy training in the framework of the sustainable and environmental revolution

Sustainability and environment-related professions are currently in high demand. These profiles are innovative and their development is in full swing, requiring very specific training and constant evolution. "Green jobs," as these new activities are popularly known, constitute a career opportunity with interesting job prospects and excellent future projection.

At AENOR we offer various options for specialization in this area. In both individual qualifications and in the circular economy and footprint calculation courses, the aim is to provide the future professionals of the sector with the necessary tools for comprehensive environmental and energy management, control and efficiency of organizations, making decisions that are beneficial in terms of both profit and ecology, and meeting the sustainable development targets.

In order to cover the most demanding areas of specialization, the courses, which are offered in different modalities: Live Training and online, are arranged in various training levels: the individual qualifications, such as Specialist in Circular Economy management for organizations, or Expert in Environmental Management, Energy and Circular Economy (postgraduate); circular economy courses on Zero Waste, ISO 14006, Opportunities and Strategy, Application and Eco-labelling; and practical courses and workshops on footprint calculations (Carbon management, Water footprint management, Application of the EU environmental footprint and Carbon footprint neutrality).

The circular economy courses we offer at AENOR guarantee the practical and theoretical learning required by this new and booming professional profile, which aims to make the entire EU a recycling society.

The individual qualification and the postgraduate specialization course (held through the University of Alcalá de Henares) are semi-on-site/on-site and are aimed at professionals with a university degree and an interest in sustainable management. The rest of the circular economy courses are also run in the on-site and Live Training modalities, the latter being live online classes aimed at a broader student base: from students interested in a developing professional sector, to business owners and managers with an interest in incorporating sustainable strategies into everyday business practices and thus contributing to the mitigation of climate change.
