Interview Susana Lozano on Campus AENOR, El Economista
Environmental Management is a strategy or action plan put in place to organise a set of initiatives with a view to reducing the impact of human activity on the environment. The aim is to achieve sustainable development and a balance between the economic and material interests of society and the conservation of the environment.
Environmental management can be applied in companies as well as in society. The aim is to reduce the impact of human activity on the environment, respect and protect biodiversity, include the environmental factor as part of the competitive factor of companies, improve the law and raise social awareness. Companys' changes in attitude towards production methods and the new regulatory requirements have given way to the use of tools designed to integrate sustainability in the management plans of organisations of all types and sectors.

Training in Environmental Management is extensive and covers different specialities. The preparation of new professionals in the sector includes a variety of aspects such as control of emissions, life cycle and waste management, and the adaptation of audits to the different updates made to ISO 14001.
The structure of our environmental management courses allows you to access all the knowledge and tools separately or in a specific certificate that includes the most important aspects of corporate management in environmental matters. The training course for Managers in Environmental Management Systems is the most comprehensive of AENOR's training offer in environmental management. It is intended for environmental managers and professionals from other areas interested in moving into a sector with interesting career prospects.
An alternative to this comprehensive environmental training course are our specific courses and workshops on audits, EMAS regulations and environmental declarations, the traceability of waste and zero residue, and the measurement of success of already implemented environmental management plans. These are shorter courses on environmental management that offer a more detailed approach to specific aspects of environmental planning within companies, with specialised tools to define certain methodologies and to monitor and carry out audits in various sectors of activity.
Our courses in Environmental Management can be done in person, with hybrid classes, online or Live Training (live classes). AENOR provides its students with everything they need to successfully complete their courses in environmental management and complements the courses with the continuous support of tutors with extensive experience in the field.
