Our international projects in the field of climate change and the environment cover a wide range of thematic areas, from the carbon market to carbon footprints or projects related to the circular economy, sustainability and the energy transition. The sectors of activity in which we can act include renewable energy, agroforestry, waste management, energy efficiency and transport, among others.
AENOR is at the forefront of the most highly valued and recognised certification schemes in this sector, such as the CDM and VCS, where we have more than 15 years of experience. At the same time, we are constantly expanding our activities to innovative schemes, such as the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF), SDVISta or zero waste, which help our clients in their climate change adaptation strategies and achieve their development objectives.
The World Bank has entrusted AENOR to develop significant mitigation initiatives, such as the validation and verification of emissions reduction programmes for the Carbon Fund (Forest Carbon Partnership Facility, FCPF) in Costa Rica, Indonesia and Chile, and the design of a MRV system for livestock and agriculture sectors in Kazakhstan
We are the partner chosen by the Norwegian Ministry of Environment to carry out independent verifications of the national emissions reduction programmes in the countries covered by the Norwegian-funded payment-by-results agreement.
