Why do a course in Integrated Management Systems?

Why do a course in Integrated Management Systems?

Quality, environment, and health and safety are three areas that cannot be ignored in efficient business management. The smooth functioning of any organisation relies on these three pillars, which take into account aspects that affect workers, their environment and the company's productivity. The current business context is increasingly demanding in terms of the development of responsible and sustainable activities, and integrated management systems (IMS) help to achieve these objectives. Training in quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems revolves around three certification standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Internal auditors in Integrated Management Systems know these specific practices and standards and how to apply them in any context. For this reason, these professionals have a promising future in the field of business management, with great career opportunities in virtually any sector of activity.

Training to become an internal auditor

An Integrated Management System (IMS) is a set of tools and concepts designed to improve a company's operation from multiple perspectives. AENOR's integrated management systems courses compile all the essential content in practical, legal and certification matters at different specialisation levels and in the three key areas of management: quality, environment and occupational safety.

The highest certification is the Master's degree in integrated quality, environment and occupational health and safety management systems, intended for university graduates with no experience or knowledge of the ISO standards applicable to IMS. The other certification of note is AENOR's own certificate for directors and specialists who want to lay the necessary groundwork for the performance of their functions.

The remaining integrated management systems courses in AENOR's catalogue cover more specific areas of these processes, such as planning and audits, how to integrate these systems into a business environment, or training in the family of ISO standards that govern these management systems (ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 45000 groups). While integrated quality and environmental management systems are especially necessary for the consultants and specialists working directly in these departments, this training offered by AENOR aims to reach a greater number of participants by being accessible to anyone interested in working in these areas in the future.

The methodology is very similar in the quality, environment, and health and safety management and integration courses, and in AENOR's own certification, which can be taken in person or through live virtual classes (Live Training option). The Master's degree, however, is offered in a hybrid format, where students choose whether to take the Friday class - which is given at AENOR's facilities - in person or streaming. All the classes, whether online or in person, are taught by renowned professionals and feature content that is updated to suit the reality of the sector.
