UNE 166006 Monitoring and Intelligence Systems

Structures the process of listening to and observing the environment in order to help all levels of the organisation make decisions

The Standard UNE 166006 makes it easier to systematically observe and find signs of change and new developments focused on gathering, selecting, analysing, disclosing and communicating information in order to convert it into knowledge to enable decision-making and monitor the use of results.

The certification for Surveillance and Intelligence facilitates the relationship between Surveillance and Intelligence providers, whether internal or external, and their customers. This provides a common technology, identifying the relationships, possible synergies and compatibility between this activity and others, specifying the elements that constitute their offer, and helping everyone to understand and clarify their respective roles and commitments.

Benefits:

  • To systematically carry out the observation and search for signs of change and new opportunities, focused on collecting information to turn it into knowledge, thus aiding in decision-making.

  • To demonstrate to third parties that the company has the technical and human resources needed to carry out Surveillance and Intelligence, either within the company or on behalf of other companies.

  • To help companies to identify the technological areas that Surveillance and Intelligence providers deal with.

  • To facilitate the relationship between Surveillance and Intelligence providers, whether internal or external, and their customers.

The standard is particularly useful for all organisations, regardless of their size or activity. This Standard can also be used as a purchasing specification when contracting third parties.

This standard is aligned with other management system standards such as UNE-EN-ISO 9001 and particularly UNE 166002, in order to increase compatibility with said standards to the benefit of the user community.

When the Auditing process has been completed, the organisation obtains:

  • An AENOR Monitoring and Intelligence System Certificate.
  • A licence to use the AENOR Monitoring and Intelligence Mark.
