CENELEC Certification Agreement (CCA) and Notification of Test Results (NTR)

The CENELEC Certification Agreement (CCA) enables organisations to obtain conformity marks from European certification bodies  based on recognising testing of electrical products and factory inspections.

The CENELEC Certification Agreement for electrical products (CCA, CENELEC Certification Agreement) is a European agreement for mutual recognition between prestigious certification bodies that have signed the agreement, to obtain Conformity Marks. As part of these agreements, all electrical products are tested to ensure compliance with European Standards (EN) or with harmonised documents (HD).

AENOR is the only Spanish body to have signed this multilateral agreement, with the participation of in which 23 organisations from 21 European countries are participating.

Once the certificate has been obtained, thanks to AENOR being a signatory of the CENELEC Certification Agreement (CCA), they can issue a Notification of Test Results (NTR) to obtain certificates from other European signatory organisations such as IMQ (Italy), VDE (Germany), LCIE (France), etc.

What is the NTR?

The Notification of Test Results, known as NTR, is a notification issued by a signatory body of the CENELEC Certification Agreement (CCA) after having granted its mark.
