AENOR has awarded El Corte Inglés Group with certification for Zero Waste for all its establishments and logistic platforms in the Valencian Community. Thus, seven of the company's centres located in Castellón, Valencia, Alicante and Elche, and the logistic platforms of La Reva and Atalayas, now hold this environmental certificate.

El Corte Inglés in the Murcia Region has also obtained the certificate certificate. Specifically, the logistic platforms of Murcia, Cartagena and Molina de Segura.

The "Zero Waste" certification certifies that El Corte Inglés recovers at least 90% of all of its waste material, thus avoiding it being transferred to landfill. This certification helps organisations to optimise their processes by locating waste generation points, as well as promoting the Circular Economy, which prioritises the recycling and reuse of waste as raw material for new processes; the aim is to reuse and recycle waste from the company's own activities as well as those from its customers homes. In this way, the company is ahead of the new European guidelines.

AENOR's Director in the Valencian Community, Salvador Ibáñez, and AENOR's Director in the Murcia Region, Angel Luis Sánchez, presented the "Zero Waste" certificate to the regional director of El Corte Inglés, Juan Sabater.
