AENOR and FIMPA sign a partnership agreement to make it easier to certify companies that install and maintain automatic doors

03/12/2018

  • The agreement specifies the partnership's obligations and priorities for the certification of installers and maintainers that belong to FIMPA and the companies acceding to this Agreement.
  • A joint follow-up committee will meet on a quarterly basis to ensure that the objectives are properly pursued.

3 December 2018. The National Federation of Manufacturers, Installers and Maintenance of Doors and Automatisms (FIMPA) has signed with AENOR a framework partnership agreement aimed at fostering, promoting and facilitating the certification of companies that install and maintain industrial, commercial, garage, automatic pedestrian and Fire doors.

The agreement will cover companies belonging to FIMPA Members or other Companies that have signed this agreement with FIMPA, thereby enhancing installation and maintenance quality and competitiveness.

As a result, when AENOR receives a request from companies belonging to any of the Associations that have signed this agreement, it will issue a certification proposal, offering the most favourable conditions and tailored to each organisation's particular characteristics.

The agreement also provides for the setting up of a follow-up committee which will meet at least once a quarter to ensure that its aims are properly pursued.

Both organisations are going to launch a series of travelling workshops, whose objective is to provide detailed information on this Certification, which was an initiative promoted by the Administration.
