Objectives

Understand the objectives and requirements of ISO Standard 9001:2015 with regard to knowledge management and develop a plan to ensure compliance.
Develop a system for the concept and scope of knowledge management to be understood.
Define a model to identify and structure work related to knowledge management.
Define a methodology to address challenges and opportunities through the use of knowledge management and plan appropriate action.
Learn about the keys to success and factors that favour knowledge management in organisations.
Optimise the organisation's progress in knowledge management by integrating existing initiatives related to this type of management.
Monitor the knowledge management system by identifying and choosing appropriate indicators.
Plan and conduct audits of the knowledge management system.

Content

Module 1: Knowledge economy and strategic framework of action

Understanding the contextual factors that characterise the knowledge economy and affect organisations.
Identification of the value of knowledge in organisations and the need for their leading role.
Understanding the intellectual capital approach as a framework for analysing intangible assets.
Identification of the dimensions and variables that make up human capital, structural capital, and relational capital in an organisation.
Preparation of a diagnosis of the organisation's intangible assets: Defining intangible assets (Intellectual Capital Report).
Understanding of the double dimension (strategic and operational of knowledge management).
Strategic and tactical approaches to managing and exploiting knowledge as an asset that impacts the value offering and the organisation's business model.
Framework for the development of a systemic vision of knowledge management by applying the Knowledge Management Strategy Planner methodology of ICA2 (KMSP).
Elaboration of a case on the application of the KMSP methodology. This will allow:
- - Defining, visualising and structuring knowledge management initiatives.
  - Defining and connecting elements necessary for supporting and monitoring these initiatives

Module 2: Conditions in the organisation for knowledge management: Policies, Organisation and Technology.

Understanding the concepts and characteristics of a learning organisation and of organisations based on knowledge.
Preparing the organisation to develop an effective knowledge management strategy:
- - Leadership for knowledge management.
  - Agile structures for knowledge management.
  - Key elements to stimulate a collaborative culture of knowledge (motivation, recognition, skills, attitudes).
Instrument and diagnostic exercise of the level of organisational maturity for knowledge management.
Understanding the concept of communities of practice as a knowledge management ecosystem aimed at strengthening the knowledge-business binomial.
Identification of the key organisational factors that are necessary for the success of a community of practice.
Understanding the method of creating communities of practice, taking into account design, configuration, operation, etc.
Configuration of a model agenda for the launching and deployment of communities of practice in an organisation.

Module 3: Systematisation, preservation and transfer of critical knowledge

Understanding of the concept of lessons learned and good practice as key pieces of knowledge for the organisation.
Identification of the key organisational factors that are necessary for the success of a lessons learned and best practices programme.
Understanding of the method for identifying and systematising lessons learned and good practices, with all the details of the formats and supports that can be used in this type of actions.
Configuration of an appropriate agenda to take advantage of lessons learned and good practices.
Understanding of the concept of preservation of critical knowledge as a fundamental issue to project the future potential of the organisation.
Identification of the key organisational factors that are necessary for the success of a critical knowledge preservation programme.
Understanding the critical knowledge preservation method, attending to the phases of candidate selection, characterisation, extraction and systematisation, mainly of tacit knowledge, and elaboration of the personal knowledge book.
Configuration of an adequate agenda to take advantage of the organisation's personal knowledge book.

Module 4: Knowledge mapping

Understanding the knowledge map concept and the different use cases that can be considered.
Understanding the importance of identifying the organisation's knowledge domains.
Characterisation of the types of knowledge and the adjustment of its management typology, nature and context.
Identification of the level of criticality of the knowledge domains and their management specifications.
Integration in the knowledge map of knowledge holders, evidencing specific action strategies.
