AENOR has awarded COVAP Animal Health and Welfare Management Certificate awarded to the Animal Control Centre (CECA), belonging to the municipal company SADECO, whose aim is to ensure the welfare and health of dogs and cats throughout the whole collection, stay and departure process at the centres. SADECO therefore becomes the first public company to receive the certificate of compliance for its animal protection centre in Córdoba.
The management model, based on the UNE 313001 Standard,is a reference model in the management of animal protection and pet boarding centres.
The certificate is awarded for the utmost care taken in animal handling during the different stages at the centre: from collection, control on entry and their stay at the installations, guaranteeing the highest standards of hygiene and prophylaxis, feeding, environmental benefits, exercise, treatment from keepers, as well as dealing with their departure, a very important phase due to the importance of preparing animals for adoption and selecting future adopters.
Antonio Pérez Carreño, AENOR's Director in Andalusia, presented the award to Pedro García, SADECO's Managing Director.
