Signing of Quality Agreement

13/07/2021

The Ministry for Territorial Policy and Public Function and the Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management (FUNDIBEQ) have signed their annual cooperation agreement with the aim of working for quality in the Spanish Administration (AGE). This agreement was first signed in 2006.

The signing was presided over by the Minister, Miquel Iceta, accompanied by the Director General of Public Governance, Olivié Bayón, and the Deputy Director General of the Services Inspectorate, Silvia Sancho Martín, both members of FUNDIBEQ's Board of Trustees and Executive Committee. On behalf of FUNDIBEQ, the agreement was signed by the Chairman, Rafael García Meiro (also CEO of AENOR), and its CEO, Juan Luis Martín Cuesta. The agreement was also signed by Avelino Brito, Chief Executive Officer of the Spanish Association for Quality (AEC), and Ignacio Babé, CEO of Club Excelencia en Gestión (CEG).

The Minister highlighted the importance for the Ministry of having the experience and support of the three organisations to promote the strategy of quality and improvement in the services of government bodies. He also highlighted the value of the Ibero-American dimension in connection with quality and improved management, thanks to the possibility of sharing experience and supporting peer organisations in the same area.
