29/11/2024

AENOR's Board of Directors has appointed David de Pastors Conformity Assessment Managing Director at AENOR at the proposal of Chief Executive Officer Rafael García Meiro.

De Pastors will be responsible for all conformity assessment activities - certification, verification, inspection and testing - in all Group companies, reporting directly to the CEO. The Conformity Assessment business accounts for 80% of AENOR's turnover.

"This promotion recognises David's strong commitment and robust contribution of value to AENOR over the last six years," said the CEO. “Most importantly, it reflects the Board's confidence in his ability to take the conformity assessment business forward in line with the ambitious growth we have been pursuing since we embarked on AENOR's transformation.”

"I am very appreciative of the confidence that has been shown in me," commented David de Pastors. "I am a firm believer in the unique value contribution AENOR makes to enterprises and society in general which is expanding in both the volume and the performance of the solutions we deliver to organisations. We have the team and the capabilities to play a prominent role in an economy where trust is an increasingly critical factor in business and consumer decisions. I would like to thank everyone for the hard work that has brought us this far."

De Pastors joined AENOR in 2018 and has been actively engaged in the company's transformation process, helping to set the strategy and identify the objectives for each year while also leading the transformation project in various roles. He has been Director of Finance and Management Control, of Strategy and Corporate Development and of the Conformity Assessment Business Unit, while also managing Cámara Certifica. Previously he had been a consultant at IBM and PwC, founded his own professional services company and was Director of Organisation, Finance and Systems at the Cuñado Group.
