The agreement between AENOR and AECEM seeks to professionalise the sector and generate confidence in the business community

29/01/2025

AENOR and the Spanish Association of Business Consultants (AECEM) join forces to promote and disseminate the recently published UNE 420001 Standard, which establishes new quality standards for consultancies and professional offices, determining the requirements and good practices for business management advisory services and advisory services for individuals.

With this agreement, both companies seek to make enquiries and start their certification process based on this Standard, which aims to guarantee quality and seek excellence in the provision of these services, while protecting the sector, which had no good practices document until now.

The UNE 420001 Standard, promoted by AECEM, is the result of consensus, thanks to the work of a group made up of representatives of professional associations and other associations in the sector, consultancies, mutual insurance companies, university study centres and technology, training, internal organisation and certifying companies. Its publication marks a significant milestone in the advisory sector, establishing a reference framework that contributes to its progress, becoming an example of self-regulation.

The Standard is designed to promote sustainable growth and competitiveness in consulting, management and professional offices, ensuring quality service and promoting continuous improvement.

Obtaining the certification involves an external audit that rigorously checks compliance with all technical, regulatory and organisational aspects, thus ensuring the maximum quality and professionalism in its operation.

Statements and more can be found in the press release attached.
