19 October 2020. UCI, Unión de Crédito Inmobiliarios, a property finance specialist, has become one of the first financial institutions to obtain the Certificate AENOR for the management of COVID-19 throughout the UCI Group, which includes the brands UCI, Hipotecas.com, Compracasa, SIRA and Creditos.com, a guarantee that all its facilities are applying the appropriate protocols and safety measures to minimise the risk of contagion from the virus.
This mark is an external recognition that supports the criteria agreed by the Ministry of Health, certifying the proper implementation and deployment of safety and hygiene measures. The certification is valid for one year and involves quarterly monitoring.
AENOR has developed a specific methodology for this certification based on the permanently updated recommendations of national and international bodies, which represents the organisations' comprehensive approach to managing the risks arising from COVID-19, with aspects being assessed, such as: risk management, occupational health management, training, information and communication developed, protection measures, good cleaning and hygiene practices in the facilities and vehicles belonging to the company (even offering the possibility of carrying out laboratory testsand the verification of correct cleaning and disinfection of surfaces).
Obtaining this certificate demonstrates the financial institution's commitment to preventing the spread of COVID-19, striving for the protection of its employees, collaborators, customers and the general public, and generating trust among all groups, a key aspect for the recovery and activation of the economy.
Since the start of the health crisis, UCI has been committed to everyone's safety, as well as to information and transparency in the communication relating to it. For this reason, and to facilitate access to all its employees and two-way communication, it has also developed a web portal where the entire organisation can find Information relating to COVID-19, know all the entity's procedures and protocols, request PPE kits, in the case of people physically working, or communicate the situation of exposure to the virus.
