16 June 2020. The OCA Group (Obras Civiles del Atlántico, S.L.) has been granted the COVID-19 safe protocol certification issued by AENOR, with registration no. COV-2020/0019, which accredits the different organisational measures and protocols implemented to guarantee the prevention and control of the disease within its fixed and temporary facilities.
This certification was issued after verification that the OCA Group's work centres are protected, controlled and aligned with the highest standards in relation to the coronavirus pandemic. The OCA group thus becomes one of the first 20 Spanish companies certified by AENOR.
The Best Practices against COVID-19 certification allows companies to demonstrate to their clients, suppliers and employees that effective practices to manage the risks derived from COVID-19 are being implemented.
The audit, carried out on 25 May and 5 June, included a review of OCA Group's documentation and protocols to certify that they meet the recommendations and requirements of various national bodies, such as the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety, both at their own facilities and on contracted sites, to ensure that not only are the protocols in place, but that they are being effectively complied with to prevent contagion and avoid the spread of the virus.
The certification highlights the management of the crisis during the weeks of the greatest incidence of the virus, as well as the hygienic, organisational and control measures of staff and facilities.
To guarantee the safety of all people, both their own staff and contractors, the OCA Group has reviewed all its procedures and work instructions and has implemented a set of protocols in all areas of its work centres, with measures aimed at the prevention of COVID-19.
It has also carried out individual tests to detect the presence of COVID-19 among all its workers and has provided them with the personal protection equipment necessary for the development of their work. The frequency and measures of hygiene, disinfection and cleaning of all areas of its facilities have also been comprehensively increased.
Similarly, the OCA Group has created spaces for disinfection at access points to its work centres, in which, in addition to sanitary rugs for shoe hygiene and informative/preventive displays, hydroalcoholic gel and approved face masks are provided to anyone who needs them, among other control measures.
