Miguel Vergara, first beef producer to receive the AENOR Animal Welfare Seal in its entire chain

This certification, developed in conjunction with IRTA, is in line with the European Welfare Quality® standard.

• The scope of the certificate includes the entire productive cycle: from the farming of the livestock to slaughtering and through to packaging and labelling of the end product, ensuring the animal's welfare and the traceability of Miguel Vergara meats.

• To obtain the certificate, farms and slaughterhouses must comply with 12 requirements that ensure the welfare of the beef cattle: from the absence of pain caused by handling, injuries or illness; to ensuring ease of movement and appropriate behaviour.

• This certification is the only one currently issued in Spain that can guarantee the Welfare Quality ® requirements established, guaranteeing an in-depth audit in all phases of production and the maximum information and transparency for the consumer.
