Javier Mejía, new Strategic and Product Marketing Director of AENOR


18 February 2020 Javier Mejía Martí has joined AENOR as AENOR Strategic and Product Marketing Director, where he will lead the development of the range of services that allow the organisation to remain at the forefront of the market with innovative verification and certification tools that will permit the entity to fulfil its brand strategy: "We contribute to the transformation of society, creating trust between people and organisations."

According to AENOR's CEO, Rafael García Meiro, "Javier's experience and vision will be essential for maintaining our competitive edge, as well as with our product portfolio and our sector approximation, which provides a clear display of trust and greater competitiveness for our customers." During his career, Javier has gained in-depth knowledge of customer demands and the corporate transformation processes required to meet these demands."

Javier holds a degree in Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Master's Degree in Commercial and Marketing Management from ESIC, and has completed a General Management Programme (PDG) at IESE. His professional trajectory is characterised by forming part of top management teams of IBEX 35 organisations. Javier Mejía was previously Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at Sipay, a payment gateway focused on user experience, and with customers such as Repsol, Bankia and Grupo Barceló; Prior to this, he held management positions at VISA, Banco Santander, American Express and Adecco, which gave him the opportunity to gain a deep insight into European, Latin American and Middle Eastern markets.
