Industrial laundry ILUNION Lavandería is granted COVID-19 certification and the standard UNE-EN 14065 for microbiological quality

AENOR has certified leading industrial laundry network, ILUNION Lavandería y Servicios a la Hostelería, against COVID-19 and also its microbiological quality in accordance with the standard UNE-EN 14065. In this way, the Spanish sector-leading company continues to work for the continuous improvement of the hygiene quality in its plants and for the safety of its workers with the most stringent quality standards.

The UNE-EN 14065 certification has led ILUNION Lavanía to implement a microbiological quality and safety management system in all its plants, based on the analysis of critical control points in the washing process and the establishment of a stringent self-monitoring and sampling plan.

This management system offers the company's customers a product with guarantees of hygiene and safety, "which are and will be a reference in our sector and that have been demonstrated by third parties," as highlighted by Cristóbal Cuevas, CEO of ILUNION Lavanderías y Servicios a la Hosterería.

At the same time, AENOR has verified and certified the action protocols that ILUNION Lavandería has adopted at its plants, in order to carry out an adequate management of the risks deriving from COVID-19 and to guarantee the safety of workers and customers with the highest quality standards. And it is the first in the sector to achieve this.

The AENOR certification is an external endorsement of the effectiveness of safety measures implemented by ILUNION Lavandería and that it also complies and surpasses the recommendations and requirements of the different health authorities issued by national and international bodies on matters concerning COVID-19 prevention and hygiene.

An example of this is the extraordinary reinforcement to guarantee the stock of certified PPE for its staff, the placement of work separation screens in an industrial environment or the strict protocols for the disinfection of the most vulnerable areas.

It is a certification that can be perfectly integrated with other management systems, particularly those related to Occupational Health and Safety and Business Continuity Management.
