AENOR awards the Fundación Jiménez Díaz with double cybersecurity certification: the National Security Framework (ENS) and Information Security (ISO 27001)

  • This makes the Madrid hospital the first and only hospital in Spain of its size, complexity, and volume of care, to obtain these certifications that encompass all its activities.
  • The deputy minister of Health Care, Ana Ávila, officiated the certification ceremony.

24 February 2020.AENOR awarded the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital with two certifications: the first relates to the National Security Framework in the area of electronic administration; and the second relates to the Information Security Management System, in accordance with standard UNE-ISO/IEC 27001.

This recognition makes the Madrid hospital the first and only hospital in Spain of its size, complexity and volume of care to obtain these certifications, one of which is national and the other is international, which encompass all its care and non-care activities and processes.

Both certifications, obtained as a result of an extensive and exhaustive process, managed and led by the hospital's Information System and Quality System departments, headed by Alberto Pardo and Eva Sáez, respectively, were awarded by AENOR's director of Market Intelligence and Surveillance, Manual Romero, to the manager of the Fundación Jiménez Díaz, Juan Antonio Álvaro de la Parra, in a ceremony held in the hospital's Magna room and officiated by the deputy minister of Health Care of the Community of Madrid, Ana Dávila.
