18/09/2020

  • This seal certifies the protocols and plans developed by Ferrovial to guarantee safe activity at the central headquarters in Madrid, thereby transmitting confidence to employees and customers.
  • Priority has been given to providing information to employees, and organisational measures have been put in place, such as restricting common areas, delivery of PPE to employees (masks, gloves), and making hydroalcoholic gel available to employees, among others.

18 September 2020. Ferrovial has certified its COVID-19 protocols at its corporate headquarters in Madrid with AENOR, thereby guaranteeing the implementation of effective measures at all times. At the same time, the certification confirms that these initiatives comply with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health on matters of prevention and hygiene with regards to COVID-19. Once the mark has been granted it is valid for a year, but must be monitored every three months.

The rigorous assessment carried out by AENOR assesses aspects such as risk management; occupational health and safety management; the training, information and communications developed; the organisational measures (control of capacity and distances), and protective measures (use of PPE), as well as good cleaning and hygiene practices, among other things.

Ferrovial has implemented a protocol with COVID-19 measures, as well as a contingency and business continuity plan. With the arrival of coronavirus, the company developed a series of protocols and instructions on handling the COVID-19 situation. The measures carried out in the company's day-to-day operations include good cleaning and disinfection practices and employee training. The certification strengthens confidence in the effectiveness of the protocol among employees, customers and all users of the facilities, a key factor in restoring normal operations as soon as possible.

Providing employees with information via notifications on procedures, guidelines and instructions concerning COVID-19 has been a priority. It has also implemented organisational measures, such as restricting common areas, delivering PPE to employees (masks, gloves) and making hydroalcoholic gel available to employees, among others.

This certificate is an endorsement of the effectiveness of the safety measures implemented by the company and, at the same time, it confirms that these measures are in compliance with the guidelines set by the national and international bodies on matters of prevention and hygiene with regards to COVID-19.

Furthermore, AENOR has certified that Ferrovial Servicios in Madrid and Granada, and the Inacua sports centres managed by Ferrovial Servicios, have implemented COVID-19 protocols that comply with the methodology defined by AENOR itself, as well as with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health, WHO and FNEID (National Federation of Sports Facilities Entrepreneurs).
