The Spanish company Face Mask becomes the first to attain the certification from AENOR for hygienic masks, thereby increasing confidence among distributors and users about the effectiveness of the product. The consolidation of national capacity to produce protection equipment is essential in the fight against pandemics such as the one we are currently experiencing.
The hygienic masks from Face Mask, certified by AENOR, have successfully passed a series of compliance verification processes in accordance with the specifications of standard UNE 0064 (single-use hygienic masks), which sets out a number of fundamental aspects such as the effectiveness of bacterial filtration and breathability.
These tests, carried out at the AENOR laboratory, complement the certification audits that confirm that production is carried out under a controlled system and that there is complete traceability for each production batch in terms of the fabrics and other materials used in the manufacture of the mask.
Hygienic masks have become one of the main means of preventing coronavirus infections, and it is essential to ensure that these masks are effective and comply with the relevant UNE standards. In this regard, these masks must filter particles larger than 3.0 microns, so that, for example, they prevent the dispersal of microdroplets in the saliva we emit when we talk.
Face Mask, located in Molina de Segura (Murcia), was created in May 2020 with the aim of supplying the national market with a highly differentiated product, focusing mainly on the manufacture of hygienic and surgical masks (Type I, Type II, Type IIR).
