  • Purchase the ISO certifications on sanitation service, which are the ISO 9001 on quality management, ISO 14001 on environmental management, ISO 45001 occupational health and safety and ISO 50001 on energy management.

7 October 2021. The Consorci d'Aigües Costa Brava Girona has assumed the administration of its management systems this 2021. It has decided to take advantage of the relief in the management of the operation and maintenance of the sanitation service that has passed from the Empresa Mixta de Aguas de la Costa Brava S.A. (EMACBSA) to the two new operating companies, with the creation of two sewerage works in the new operating tender: Works 1 - UTE de Servicios de Saneamiento en Alta CCB-ELA (UTE Facsa-Calaf) and Works 2 - Sociedad General de Aguas de Barcelona (SGAB).

With this step, the entity has acquired the four ISO certifications that the former operator has held up to now and which will now have the same sanitation system managed by the Consortium, regardless of which the operating company is. This is the ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) and ISO 50001 (energy), all of which are certified by AENOR.

These certifications highlight the company's continued commitment to ensuring a safe, healthy and equal working environment for its workers and to promoting the use of best practices in energy efficiency.

The management systems will be periodically assessed, measuring the results obtained, defining progress objectives, implementing improvement plans, and controlling their execution and effectiveness, as well as managing the risks of their processes.

The Consorci d'Aigües Costa Brava Girona was founded fifty years ago with a firm commitment to developing the activities of operation, conservation, maintenance and improvements of the sanitation systems on the Costa Brava. It did so by making its main priorities the safety and health of people, respect for the environment and sustainability -and now more than ever, in keeping with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-, service quality and customer satisfaction.
