6 August 2020. Dbus received the certification of Protocols against COVID-19 this morning AENOR, which demonstrates that adequate safety and hygiene measures have been implemented in relation to coronavirus.
The certificate was presented by Pilar Arana, member of the Mobility and Transport Council of San Sebastian; Igor Gonzalez, Managing Director of Dbus; Luz Emparanza, Managing Director of AENOR in the Basque Country;
The COVID-19 protocols certification, the logo for which will be displayed on all the buses in the fleet, as well as at the company's premises, is an external endorsement of the effectiveness of safety measures implemented by Dbus, based on the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health on matters of COVID-19 prevention and hygiene. The methodology of this certification is based on the recommendations of national and international bodies and represents the organizations' comprehensive approach to managing the risks arising from COVID-19. The audit assesses, among other aspects, the protocols of action against coronavirus, as well as compliance with these.
Over the past few months, Dbus has made continuous adjustments to adapt to the new situation arising from COVID-19, developing new protocols and implementing various preventive measures to guarantee the health and safety of company staff and users. In this regard, Dbus has obtained the AENOR certificate that guarantees that the services it renders comply with the necessary protocols and measures established by Dbus in its own protocol in the face of this new situation.
These measures implemented by Dbus include daily cleaning and disinfection of the entire fleet and facilities, the installation of screens in the driver's space in all vehicles, informing staff and users about the preventive measures and new procedures, delimitation of common spaces, the establishment of health and safety measures both on buses an in installations, or the requirement for suppliers to comply with protection and safety measures, in order to offer users a safe, quality service.
One of the apsects most valued by Dbus users is the daily cleaning and disinfection of all buses to ensure they go into service in perfect condition. To carry out this work, Dbus is using an innovative motorized spraying system that is capable of reaching all areas of the bus interior for a thorough disinfection.
This new certification is in addition to the AENOR quality certificate in accordance with the UNE-EN 13816 standard on Public Passenger Transport, which certifies the quality of its service on the 5-Benta Berri, 13-Altza and 28-Amara-Ospitaleak lines, which account for approximately half of the users who travel daily in Dbus. These commitments also apply not only to these three lines, but throughout the entire bus fleet and in the company's daily operation.
Once again, the AENOR COVID-19 certificate endorses the safety of public transport in San Sebastian and provides the trust needed to recover the sustainable transport model the company has always promoted, committing to public transport as the most efficient and environmentally friendly way of getting around San Sebastián.
