20/09/2019

  • AENOR's agreement with FIAB creates a collaboration connection that will help FIAB companies gain information.
  • Following the agreement, FIAB will also promote AENOR training courses.

20 September 2019. The Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB) and AENOR have signed a Framework Collaboration Agreement to promote knowledge, use of the range of standards of the Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNE, and improve training.

The FIAB-AENOR agreement focuses on specific lines of collaboration such as promoting standards and training, with particular emphasis on the development of value-added services for companies that are part of FIAB, such as training or the acquisition of standards and information services.

This agreement is the result of FIAB and AENOR's recognition that improving the efficiency of companies must be a priority as regards strengthening the production sectors of their members and that certification and quality management are an important way for companies to increase their productivity.

The benefits available to FIAB members include open and online training courses on Risk Management, Food Quality and Safety, Integrated Quality Management Systems, the Environment and Occupational Health and Safety, Energy Management, the Circular Economy and Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, among others.

Mauricio García de Quevedo, Chief Executive Officer of FIAB , said that "we are pleased to be connected with an entity such as AENOR through this agreement, as it is a leader in certification in Spain and among the ten leading certifiers in the world".

Pablo Corrons, Director of Industry Information Services at AENOR, added that "the benefits this agreement offers FIAB members will allow them to increase their competitive edge, with a view to increasing confidence throughout society". He also stressed that both companies will continue to collaborate to identify training opportunities that may be of greater interest to members of the federation.
