  • The company has also published its first Sustainability Report.

12 April 2019. The road passenger transport company ALSA has received the IQNet SR10 certificate in Social Responsibility from AENORThe certification accredits that ALSA has introduced a Management System committed to social responsibility, good governance and ongoing improvement.

IQNet SR10 is the first international standard for Social Responsibility Management Systems and it establishes the requirements to define, implement, maintain and improve a Social Responsibility Management System with a view to integrating Social Responsibility throughout an organisation and to contributing to sustainable development considering the needs and expectations of stakeholders.

For Francisco Iglesias, Managing Director of ALSA, this certification "represents a step forward in the implementation of the company's Social Responsibility Policy, as the best guarantee of its future. It is a continuation of our daily efforts to improve the economic, social and environmental conditions of the communities and cities in which ALSA is present, through the provision of safe, innovative, sustainable and socially responsible transport services".

According to Rafael García Meiro, Chief Executive Officer of AENOR, "ALSA has made its management systems one of the keys to the excellent services it provides". AENOR's Social Responsibility certificate according to IQNet SR10 reflects its concern for social responsibility, which it develops through measures to support family conciliation, integration of female talent, employment of people with different abilities and support for people at risk of social exclusion, among other initiatives".
