15 December 2020. AENOR has awarded GMV the first certification based on the ISO/IEC 27701 for Privacy Information Management, which is an extension for managing privacy based on the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management and the ISO/IEC 27002 Security Controls standards.
With the presence of Rafael García Meiro, CEO of AENOR, and Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón, CEO of GMV Secure e-Solutions, both companies have expressed their commitment to the most demanding safety standards.
According to the CEO of AENOR, "Society is increasingly demanding organisations to assure due diligence in data management. Leading organisations, such as GMV, are pointing the way ahead for all companies with the ambition to prevail."

Considering the principle of proactive responsibility, this standard is a tool that helps organisations to comply with the principles and obligations imposed by the law on data protection and privacy, such as the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Organic Law Of Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
Since its inception in 1984, GMV has shown its commitment to adopt and certify itself according to the most demanding standards. By means of this certification, GMV is again a pioneer in the adopting standards, as it already proved to be in 2004 with its ISO 27001 security certification (the oldest currently in force in Spain).
The Privacy Management System's implementation in accordance with the ISO 27701 standard has been carried out entirely by GMV, relying on its experience, methodologies and expert resources in Management Systems, Cybersecurity and Data Protection.
