13/05/2020

  • More than 80 measures have been put in place to guarantee the health and safety of its employees.
  • Once the audit has been completed, this certification will guarantee that throughout the production process for the manufacturing of its products, effective measures have been developed against COVID-19.

13 May 2020. AENOR will certify the more than 80 measures that CAPSA FOOD has implemented during the health crisis and that comprise its General Action Plan against COVID 19, through the Certificatation for Best Practices against COVID-19 launched by AENOR.

Since 26 February, in its commitment to the health and safety of its workers, the dairy company has implemented different action measures in all areas to guarantee the supply of its products to the market ensuring Food Safety and Prevention. The Plan integrates hygiene, prevention and organisational measures, as well as the action guidelines to be followed for its correct compliance, and is applicable to all employees of its 6 production plants, in addition to all the people who work in its facilities: truck drivers, contract workers, etc.

Now, thanks to this new Best Practices against COVID-19 certification, initiated by AENOR, CAPSA FOOD will have an external endorsement to support the fact that these measures carried out by the company and that form part of its Plan are effective in the face of the risks arising from this pandemic, and that it also complies with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health in the area of Prevention and Hygiene on COVID-19 for essential services.

To obtain this certification, it will be necessary to undergo and pass an exhaustive audit, both in person and documentary. The objective will be to contrast the protocols applied by the company to ensure that the company applies the protocols with the methodology developed by AENOR. This is based on AENOR's deep knowledge of the sectors and best practices in the field of occupational health and safety; as well as the recommendations and requirements of different national and international documents, issued by bodies such as the Ministry of Health or the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety. Thus, they it is guaranteed suitable in accordance with the regulations established by the Ministry of Health and labour guidelines, to guarantee the health and safety of all its employees, ensuring the production process and the highest quality in the manufacture of its products.

This certification will be another step forward in CAPSA's commitment to comprehensive sustainability, both for the part that affects the safety and health of its employees, as well as for ensuring market supply by maintaining economic activity and contributing to social recovery.
