12 December 2019. Fraternidad-MuprespaCollaborative Mutual Society with the Social Security Institute, has been certified by AENOR according to standard UNE-EN ISO 14064, which allows organisations to monitor and report GHG emissions, improve their competitiveness and increase their transparency.
The verification includes emissions from the organisation itself and organisations over which it has an influence. For example, emissions from boilers have been taken into account, as well as other types of emissions, such as those from electricity consumption, employee displacement and paper consumption.
Manuel Romero, Director of Market Intelligence and Surveillance at AENOR, presented the certificate to Carlos Aranda, Managing Director of Fraternidad-Muprespa, at the headquarters of the Mutual Society in Madrid. Also present were Natalia Fdez, in representation of Fraternidad-Muprespa, Laviada, Deputy Director General for Prevention, Quality and Communication, and Elena Iglesias, Director of the Department of Quality and Environment.
Carlos Aranda stated that "this is a special certificate for Fraternidad-Muprespa because it provides a differential element. It helps us to raise environmental awareness and fight against climate change and the emissions that are causing it. This is a central issue in the international agenda and the Mutua wants to contribute to a more sustainable planet."
Romero congratulated the Mutual Society for "all the work involved in achieving the certificate," and highlighted the benefits, as it opens the doors to real environmental development through a differentiating certificate.
This is the fourth certification for Fraternidad-Muprespa. - Previous certifications are UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems; the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System; and the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) according to the standard UNE-ISO/IEC 27001.
