Good social practices

In response to the increasingly greater business demand on orientations for the management of social responsibility, AENOR certifies Social Responsibility Management Systems in accordance with references from IQNet SR10 and SA8000.

The SA8000 is a pioneering initiative, which led the way for organisations and companies all over the world, to implement and demonstrate their corporate social responsibility regarding working conditions and workers' rights.

The SA8000 standard is based on international employment principles and rights in accordance with the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights the Child.

The SA8000 certification considers the following requirements:

  1. Child labour
  2. Forced or compulsorylabour
  3. Health and safety
  4. Freedom of Association and Right to Collective Bargaining
  5. Discrimination
  6. Disciplinary practices
  7. Working hours
  8. Remuneration
  9. Management Systems

Any organisation certified with SA8000, has to maintain a management system in accordance with the guidelines that this scheme establishes, as well as to keep workers involved with labour factors that have an impact on them.

The SA8000 certification provides benefits and advantages for everyone involved: Companies demonstrate their ethical commitment to being managed in a socially responsible way and they therefore convey greater transparency in their operations and trust in the markets. It also provides benefits to employees by ensuring improvements in their working conditions as well as a fairer, more balanced and safer working environment.

The client obtains the SA8000 certification for a validity of three years.
