In response to the Association of independent quality control and technical inspection companies (AECCTI), AENOR assesses the technical competence, independence, experience and available means of Technical Inspection Organisations (hereinafter, OCT) who request it voluntarily.
The result of this assessment, which is carried out on an annual basis, is a technical report on the capacity for action of the Technical Inspection Organisation, under the framework of the damage insurances established by Act 38/1999 on Building Ordinances, and which can be used as a letter to present to promoters and insurance companies.
To do this, AENOR has developed a scheme that establishes the minimum criteria that must be implemented in organisations that evaluate the technical risk of the construction process.
The OCT can choose between the two assessment methods below:
- Status report, where only the information verified in the visit is gathered, without evaluating the tested aspects.
- Assessment audit, which analyses the information found, and indicates evidence of the conformity declaration or any deviations, if relevant.
Construction of public and private buildings.
This certification can be perfectly integrated with the certification scheme ISO 9001.
Construction is a strategic sector for AENOR. The overall offer of services to this industry is aimed at organisations from all sectors involved in construction:
