The AENOR N Mark for domestic appliances certifies conformity with applicable electrical safety standards
The AENOR product certification contributes an added value to products, distinguishing each product from the others and encouraging the customer to choose it. Certification also promotes introduction into multiple selective markets outside Spain.
To certify these products, AENOR has been accredited by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC).
Once the N Mark has been acquired, as a signatory of the CENELEC Certification Agreement (CCA), AENOR can issue the Notification of Test Results (NTR) to acquire the marks of other signatory bodies such as the IMQ (Italy), VDE (Germany), LCIE (France), etc.
The N Mark is a symbol of the product quality and safety, backed by an independent third-party leader in certification. The AENOR N Mark is recognised by public and private customers, facilitating the sales of thousands of certified products around the world.
The N certification is not mandatory; the manufacturer or distributor voluntarily subjects its product to a complete examination by independent organisations and specialists, with the goal of ensuring objectively that its product meets the established quality and safety requirements. Consequently, the N Mark requirements are more demanding than the essential and compulsory requirements of the CE Mark.
The AENOR certification is the benchmark for these products in the domestic market.
The products that have been granted this mark are subject to different assessments and controls to ensure their compliance with corresponding standards and with the specific certification system developed by AENOR for each product.
