In June 2016 UNE published the standard UNE 310001 on car repair workshops, so that workshops can access certification to prove the quality of their repairs.
The objective is to provide workshops with a certificate that acts as a tool to reflect and measure the quality of their responses to customer needs in the most objective way possible, as well as ensuring legal compliance in terms of occupational risk prevention and environmental factors, among others.
The certification takes into account all aspects of vehicle repair workshops themselves, and the repair, installation and maintenance of the workshops and their equipment, systems and components, including the service provision, management aspects, facilities, etc.
Workshops that want to start this certification process must be duly authorized or registered by the competent bodies, in accordance with the legislation in force, in all of their branches, specialities or sub-specialities. Workshops must also expressly have a premises in which they carry out their activity.
This activity usually corresponds with vehicle repair workshops, both for light vehicles as well as lorries, coaches, motorcycles, trailers or articulated vehicles.
Standard UNE 310001 has quality, environmental and occupational health and safety requirements, and thus it can benefit from interaction with other management systems, such as (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Once the audit process is complete, if the system installed adapts to the requirements of standard UNE 310001, the organisation will receive:
