Production of animals free of antibiotics

More added value for the consumer

The livestock sector is facing a series of challenges over the next few years caused by new consumer habits and increasing consumer awareness and sensitivity regarding how animals bred for food production are raised. Animal welfare aspects, their origin or the use of antibiotics are becoming increasingly important, and are contributing to improved competitiveness in the sector, along with added value for increasingly demanding consumers.

In this respect, AENOR certification provides added value, which contributes to improved consumer trust and to control strategies regarding bacterial resistance to antibiotics

The Production of Animals Free of Antibiotics is a main component of action plans to reduce the selection and dissemination of bacterial resistance.

The Production of Animals Free of Antibiotics can be integrated with the Animal Welfare certificate, as well as management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 among others.
