GLOBALG.A.P establishes voluntary standards for certifying agricultural products from all over the world. The growing concern over food safety and environmental protection means that ensuring compliance with good practices in this sector is essential. The protocol is based on Food Safety criteria. It surveys production techniques with a focus on controlled use of phytosanitary products to minimise the impact of the waste on food, people and their environment.
Con objeto de ofrecer normas de garantía a todos los eslabones de la cadena de producción, el protocolo GLOBALG.A.P. PPM (Plant Propagating Material) establishes the requirements that producers of plant propagating material must fulfil (seedbeds and plant nurseries). The requirements are kept in line with the rest of the GLOBALG.A.P. protocols and since the publication of the GLOBALG.A.P IFA standard
V5, the PPM certification is included in a sub-scope within the scope of Crops.
Today, there are a significant number of GLOBALG.A.P certified producers. IFA V5 FRUITS AND VEGETABLES that are used to develop their own plant propagating material for self-consumption and for commercialisation to other producers. Extending the certification for the PPM sub-scope allows those products within the scope of certification to be covered while closing the certification to all operators implicated in crop production.
Any operator who produces fruit and vegetable plant propagating material for fresh consumption will be able to carry out joint assessments for both scopes. In applicable cases, given the structure based on risk management, GLOBALG.A.P. certification can be carried out together with the food safety audits of protocols
BRC (Overall Standard for Food Safety) and
IFS (International Food Standard), given that these include requirements for a food safety system.
GLOBALG.A.P. audits can be carried out together with other modules to obtain assessments of compliance with
TESCO NURTURE, ALBERT HEIJN,
LEAF MARQUE and GLOBALG.A.P. FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, where applicable.
Once the Audit process has been completed, if the requirements established in the protocol are fulfilled:
- AENOR GLOBALG.A.P. certificate PLANT PROPAGATING MATERIAL (PPM).
AENOR has issued more than 390 GLOBALG.A.P. certificates
AENOR holds the UNE-EN-ISO/IEC accreditation
17065:2012 for the GLOBALG.A.P. protocol for the fruits and vegetables (FV) and Plant Propagating Material (PPM) sub-scopes.
