The Guarantee Mark is owned by the Interprofessional Food and Agriculture Organisation of Capa Blanca Pork Products (hereinafter INTERPORC).The aim of this mark is to guarantee to the consumer that products made using this variety of pigs and that feature this mark come from producers who have complied with the requirements established by Interporc through its Technical Regulation in respect of animal welfare, biosafety and traceability.
The "CERTIFIED ANIMAL WELFARE" Mark may only be used by producers in Spain who have successfully obtained certification proving that they comply with the requirements of the INTERPORC Animal Welfare and Biosecurity Technical Regulations for each type of producer and have been authorised by the Management Committee of the CERTIFIED ANIMAL WELFARE Mark to use the Mark.
The following types of producers can apply for certification, as defined in INTERPORC's Animal Welfare and Biosecurity Technical Regulations:
The main requirements assessed are as follows:
AENOR Animal Welfare Certification based on
Welfare Quality®, certification of
Antibiotic-free Meat Production, certification of the management system for the prudent use of antibiotics,
certification of the Duroc Labelling Self-monitoring Programme (PAED).
