The certification for corrugated fibre cement plates consists of two clearly distinct phases. In the first phase, certification applicants must implement a documentation system based on ISO 9001. At the same time, the product and measuring equipment must be monitored as set out in the certification regulations.
Subsequently, AENOR's Technical Services visit the production facility in order to verify compliance with the requirements of the certification document. Samples of the models are taken and sent to one of the laboratories accredited by ENAC for certification. These laboratories collaborate with AENOR in the certification process.
After receiving test results, AENOR, acting as the Office of the Technical Certification Committee, presents a confidential report of all activities which is evaluated by the Committee.
If the decision is affirmative, AENOR will be asked to grant certification; if negative, the petitioner will be informed of the causes of the refusal and any additional activities that must be done.
After issuance of the certificate, the company progresses to the certification monitoring phase. During this phase, AENOR's services make annual visits to the production facilities to confirm that the criteria and requirements established in the certification regulations are being applied and maintained. In this visit, samples of the certified models are taken on a rotational basis for testing in the certified laboratory.
Each year, the Secretariat prepares a report on all activities developed, which is presented to the Committee. When seeing the results obtained, the Committee decides whether the certificate is upheld or whether extraordinary activities are required.
