Guide to Good Hygiene Practices for Dairy Cows (INLAC)

Certification of good hygiene practices for dairy cows of the interprofessional dairy organisation (INLAC GUIDE).

This standard establishes that dairy companies have food safety programmes and procedures based on the principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). The general application of these principles to primary production is not viable. In order to promote good hygienic practices in livestock farming, the Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004proposes the creation of good practice guides for voluntary usage by cattle breeders.

The Interprofessional Dairy Organisation drafted the Good Practice Guide for Dairy Cows (INLAC GUIDE) as a support tool to combine the profitability of farming with the responsibility of protecting health.

The guide lays out legal precepts and puts forward a ange of requirements and practices grouped into five areas that have been deemed the most important in dairy cattle farming:

  • Traceability of the animals and milk.
  • Feeding and water for the animals.
  • Health condition of the animals.
  • Medication and treatment of the animals.
  • Milking, storage and quality of the milk

The INLAC GUIDE certification guarantees the compliance of livestock breeders through voluntary commitments to implement good hygiene practices in their farming activities.

AENOR product certificate of conformity with the Guide to Good Hygiene Practices for Dairy Cattle Livestock of the Interprofessional Dairy Organisation (INLAC).

AENOR certification of compliance with the INLAC Guide can be complemented with food safety audits and quality management systems, such as ISO 22000, 9000, etc. with the aim of optimising times and costs.

Livestock farming gets an AENOR certificate of compliance with the Guide of Good Hygiene Practices by the Inter-professional Dairy Organisation for Dairy Cattle Farming (INLAC GUIDE).

AENOR holds the UNE-EN-ISO/IEC 17065:2012 accreditation for the INLAC GUIDE dairy cow certificate
